Walter Siemianowsky

Walter Siemianowsky (born March 3, 1891 in Schwerin an der Warthe ; † January 21, 1947 Jamlitz special camp ) was a German lawyer and politician . He was the mayor of Bunzlau .

Life

Born as the son of an accountant and district secretary, Siemianowsky studied law and political science in Berlin , Leipzig and Halle after attending grammar school in Rawitsch . During his studies he became a member of the Germania Berlin fraternity in 1908 and the Dresden fraternity in Leipzig in 1911 . After his participation in the First World War , most recently as a lieutenant in the reserve , he passed his exams and worked from 1923 to 1925 as a legal advisor at the management of the Diskonto-Gesellschaft in Berlin and as a lawyer . In 1926 he was elected second mayor of Küstrin and in 1930 first mayor of Bunzlau. After being captured by the Red Army , he fled to Schmalkalden in 1945 , where he was arrested by the NKVD in 1946 and died a year later in the Jamlitz special camp .
