Walter Smuch

Walter Smuch (born August 9, 1953 in Werbig ) is a German handball trainer and former handball player .

He learned the handball game in the handball training center in Seelow . He played at ASK Vorwärts Frankfurt .

Smuch was part of the handball national team of the German Democratic Republic (GDR). At the World Cup (WM) in 1978 he took third place with the national team.

After his active time he became a trainer, among others at the FHC Frankfurt / O.

Smuch's son Florian Smuch also plays handball.
