Walter Steinberger

Walter Steinberger (born November 29, 1924 in Munich ; † June 25, 1997 there ) was a German politician ( CSU ).

Steinberger attended the St. Anna elementary school and the Wittelsbacher grammar school in Munich, which he left with the Abitur. After the Second World War he studied history, German literature and political science and received his doctorate in philosophy in 1951. He then worked for the working group of universities for political sciences , in 1959 he took over the representation of a larger insurance company. Steinberger was a founding member of the CSU and the Junge Union . At the JU he was district chairman in Munich, at the CSU he sat on the state committee and was chairman of the district association Munich X for Neuhausen-Nymphenburg - Gern . From 1958 to 1962 he was a member of the Upper Bavarian District Parliament , from 1962 to 1970 of the Bavarian State Parliament .
