Walter Steineck

Walter Steineck (born August 14, 1889 in Dortmund , † March 20, 1942 in Gifhorn ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

After attending elementary school , Steineck was trained at a mechanical engineering school. From 1908 to 1910 he was a member of Field Artillery Regiment No. 22. From 1914 to 1918 he took part in the First World War with the 1st Guards Field Artillery Regiment .

After the end of the war, Steineck founded an agricultural machinery business. In the 1920s he joined the NSDAP. In 1931 he took over the office of district leader for the Northeim district in the party .

A few weeks after the National Socialists came to power , Steineck was appointed honorary district deputy for the greater Northeim district.

In December 1934, Steineck joined the National Socialist Reichstag as a replacement for the resigned Helmuth Brückner , in which he represented constituency 7 ( Breslau ) until March 1936 .

Steineck died during the Second World War of the consequences of his excessive alcohol consumption.
