Walter Strenge
Walter Strenge (born May 2, 1898 in Albany , New York , † September 2, 1974 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American cameraman.
Life
Strenge began his career in the late 1920s. He was involved in cinema productions until the beginning of the 1950s, after which his focus shifted to television and he was mainly involved in television series as a cameraman until his death.
Strenge was a member of the American Society of Cinematographers and its president from 1958 to 1960.
In 1957, Strenge was nominated for an Oscar for Best Cinematography for his work on the film Im Lande Zorros .
In 1970 he was recognized for his work on the series Dr. med. Marcus Welby awarded an Emmy . He had already been nominated for this award three times before, and one further nomination followed in 1971 and 1974.
