Walter von Allwörden

Walter Wilhelm Heinrich von Allwörden (born December 19, 1890 in Billwärder Ausschlag near Hamburg , † July 3, 1962 in Berlin-Kreuzberg ) was a German actor .

Life

After attending secondary school, von Allwörden initially worked in the commercial field. He took speaking lessons and went on tour with a traveling theater. In Lindau von Allwörden became a theater actor. Von Allwörden was seriously injured in World War I and suffered from memory loss, among other things. He turned to film and in 1919 played his first supporting role in Alfred's Techtelmechtel by Ludwig Czerny . Von Allwörden made the transition from silent to sound films. During the time of National Socialism , he also played in propaganda films such as The Higher Command .

Von Allwörden was married to the singer Emmy Sicora from 1914 until the divorce in 1927 , who stood in front of the camera together with von Allwörden in 1921 in A White Among Cannibals .
