The Waltersberg near Brunnhartshausen in the Thuringian Wartburg district is 673.7 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the Rhön .
The mountain is located one kilometer southwest of the summit of the Gläserberg on the western edge of the Feldatal in the district of Brunnhartshausen in the eastern Kuppenrhön . The south side is steep and wooded, on the east and west flanks of the mountain are the districts of Föhlritz and Steinberg with their meadows and pastures.
