Walther Dobbelmann

Walther Dobbelmann (born July 28, 1874 in Siegburg , † January 11, 1956 in Aachen ) was a German politician .

Life

Born the son of a businessman , Dobbelmann studied law in Marburg and Bonn after attending grammar school in Siegburg . During his studies he became a member of the Arminia Marburg fraternity in 1895 . After graduating and clerkship he became 1906 Mayor in Stolberg . He took part in the First World War as an officer and in 1922 became major in the reserve . He was re-elected in 1918 and 1930 and only applied after pressure from the NSDAPhis retirement, which took place on October 1, 1934. He was a member of the German National People's Party (DNVP). In 1934 he went to Aachen, where he worked as a director of studies at the municipal administration and savings bank school until 1954.

Walther-Dobbelmann-Strasse in Stolberg is named after him.
