Chlorochroa (Rhytidolomia) reuteriana is a Wanzenart from the family of stink bugs (Pentatomidae). It is one of three species in the genus Chlorochroa found in the Palearctic . The remaining 20species of Chlorochroa are native to America.

features

The green colored bugs reach a body length of 9 to 11 millimeters. They have an oval shape. They are lined with red or orange at their edges (in contrast to Chlorochroa pinicola or Chlorochroa juniperina , which have whitish or yellowish borders). The lower end of the label (scutellum) is brightly colored.

distribution

The species occurs on the Iberian Peninsula and in the French Pyrenees .

Way of life

Chlorochroa reuteriana is mostly found on pines such as Scots pine ( Pinus sylvestris ), black pine ( Pinus nigra ) or Pinus uncinata . The adult bugs fly in late summer and autumn (August to October).
