Walther Fischer-Schlemm

Walther Fischer-Schlemm (born September 24, 1888 in Kötzting ; † March 20, 1958 in Stuttgart ) was a German agricultural machinery technologist and university professor, he was Rector of the University of Hohenheim (LWH) from 1951 to 1952.

Live and act

Fischer-Schlemm his doctorate in 1920 at the University of Munich Dr. Ing., Received the Venia legendi for agricultural engineering and became a lecturer for this subject at the Agricultural University of Weihenstephan (later incorporated into the University of Munich). In 1928 he accepted the offer at the Hohenheim Agricultural University for the chair of agricultural engineering and in 1929 became a full professor. He has published numerous standard works and around 230 essays on the subject of agricultural machinery. From 1951 to 1952 he was rector of the university, in 1956 he retired in Hohenheim.
