Walther Keßler

Walther Keßler ( February 27, 1930 - February 9, 2006 ) was a German physicist. From 1976 to 1994 he was President at the Munich University of Applied Sciences .

Life

Kessler studied physics at the Technical University of Munich and was in 1959 with the work "A new method for the quantitative photoelectric emission spectral" doctorate .

In 1976 Walther Keßler became President of the Munich University of Applied Sciences and held the position until his retirement in 1994 . Under his aegis, the university of applied sciences was expanded to become one of the largest in Germany and international cooperation was promoted worldwide. Among other things, Keßler realized the canteen and library building in Lothstrasse and the renovation of the Pasing campus for the social affairs and business administration departments.

For many years, Prof. Keßler was the chairman of the University of Applied Sciences Rectors 'Conference and the first deputy chairman of the West German Rectors' Conference to come from a university of applied sciences .
