Waltraud Schmidt-Sibeth

Waltraud Schmidt-Sibeth (born April 9, 1940 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

After graduating from high school in 1960, Schmidt-Sibeth studied for teaching at elementary schools and passed the first state examination. She was initially a housewife, but then studied at the State University of Applied Sciences in the social affairs department and graduated with a diploma. Afterwards she worked as an employee at the general social service of the state capital Munich .

In 1978 Schmidt-Sibeth joined the SPD. In 1984 she became city councilor in Germering , where she was also the second mayor from 1990 to 1996. From 1990 she was a district councilor in the Fürstenfeldbruck district . She was also a member of the Bavarian State Parliament from 1994 to 2003.
