Coordinates: 32 ° 41 ′ S , 116 ° 40 ′ E The Shire of Wandering is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 1901 km² and has about 440 inhabitants.
Wandering is located in the western Australian "wheat belt" in the west of the state east of the Albany Highway about 110 kilometers southeast of the capital Perth . The area includes Wandering, Bannister, Codjatotine, Dwarda , North Bannister and Pumphreys Bridge. The seat of the Shire Council is in the village of Wandering with about 300 inhabitants (2016).

The Wandering Council has six members. They are elected by all residents of the LGA. Wandering is not divided into districts. The Council Chairman and Shire President are also recruited from among the Councilor.
