Wangque de Yitian ( Chinese 忘却 的 一天 , Pinyin wàngquè de yītiān , English A Day to Remember ) is a short film by the Chinese filmmaker Liu Wei from 2005.
On June 4, 2005, the 16th anniversary of the violent crackdown on the protests in Tian'anmen Square , Liu went into the square and Peking University with his camera and asked students and young passers-by what day it was. He receives excuses. Only some of the respondents mention the anniversary, but refuse to ask further questions and either move on or look silently into the camera.
The short film was screened in 2006 at the International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film and the Paris Film Festival Cinéma du Réel .
