Blazon
"In gold a green pole, on both sides a green fir tree with roots, the pole is covered with a growing golden abbot's staff, which is covered with a silver gear in the base."
history
The coat of arms was designed by the Munich heraldist Emil Werz .
The symbolism of the coat of arms shows the historical development of Forstern. The abbot's staff refers to the manorial rule of the former Benedictine abbey of Ebersberg and of the Ebersberg monastery, which was converted into a Jesuit college in 1595 .
The trees in the coat of arms stand - speaking - for the place name. A cog was added to the coat of arms as a symbol for the local large-scale industry (Eicher-Werke) . Gear and comb wheels have long since passed into the heraldic treasure trove as general industrial symbols.
The Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior approved the use of the coat of arms by the municipality with a resolution of May 18, 1953.
