The Waratah River is a river in the northwest of the Australian state of Tasmania .
geography
River course
The river rises about one and a half kilometers southeast of the small town of Waratah in the Waratah Reservoir and flows in a northwest direction through the city, where it crosses under Mount Road . About five kilometers southeast of the Savage River National Park it flows into the Arthur River .
