Warren Brown

Warren Brown (* 11. May 1978 in Warrington , County Cheshire ) is a British actor .

Life

Warren Brown was born in 1978 in Warrington, near Manchester , in North West England. Initially, he aimed for a professional career as a Thai boxer . He made his film debut in 2004 in the television series Shameless . His acting breakthrough came in the following year in the soap opera Hollyoaks , where the youthful-looking Warren Brown played the young student Andy Holt despite his 27 years of age. This portrayal and his role in the three-part film Occupation set during the Iraq war earned him nominations for British television awards. Warren Brown has committed himself almost exclusively to appearances in television series. In this country he gained greater fame through the leading role of DS Justin Ripley in the BBC crime series Luther broadcast on ZDF in 2012 . He had already worked with Luther director Sam Miller in 2010 on the BBC four-part single Father . Since 2017 he can be seen in the series Strike Back .
