A robbery is shown at the beginning of the episode. A man is threatened with guns by some men and kidnapped. He is forced to drive his car to a money depot. It turns out he's the manager of the depot and his name is John Coniston. His wife and daughter are threatened with a gun at home. A company employee is knocked down, employee Chris is shot in the leg, while all other employees are forcefully forced to lie down on the floor. The bank robbers have huge amounts of money taken away. However, a member of the bank robber forgets his weapon. John Coniston cancels this. He points the found weapon at his co-worker Chris, who is lying on the ground. It seems like he wants to shoot this one. However, John is first knocked down by another bank robber and trapped together with his employees. Chris remains injured on the ground. The bank robbers take off their masks and disappear.

Little by little, flashbacks resolve how the robbery came about. Eight months before the robbery, the two employees Chris and Marcus have money worries. Chris wants to support his mother and his new girlfriend Dita financially. Marcus is deep in debt. Therefore both decide to steal money from the depot together. At first this seems to be going like clockwork. Chris and Marcus make the first purchases. Meanwhile, John and his wife adopt a baby girl.

Some time later, John discovers that there is a lack of money in the depot. He catches his co-workers Marcus and Chris stealing. John explains to them that if they give the money back, he won't call the police. Chris and Marcus agree. But John has another suggestion, a new bank robbery in which he and Chris and Marcus want to steal all the money in the deposit, 170 million British pounds.

This has aroused suspicion by not doubling the police patrol as requested. John explains that he is giving this to Chris. Finally, the day of the bank robbery has come. John is kidnapped. Gina threatens John's wife and daughter with a gun. When Chris arrives at work, he realizes that he no longer has the code to be admitted to the depot. He learns that he has been fired. Chris now wants to take revenge on John because he wanted to kill him. He threatens him with an iron bar, but in the end cannot harm him. John explains to Chris that he never cared about the money. Being rich wasn't important to him either. He didn't care if he was caught. He didn't want to be who he was anymore. Plus, he's wasted so many years being scared.
