Leila Mimmack

Leila Mimmack (born November 5, 1993 in Leamington Spa , Warwickshire ) is a British actress .

life and career

Leila Mimmack was born to Maddy Kerr and Peter Mimmack. She has a sister named Athena. Her parents ran the Heartbreak Productions Theater Society at Spencer Yard, Leamington Spa. She completed her acting training at Stratford College. During her eighth grade, Mimmack's teacher described the destruction of the rainforest. This made Mimmack more interested in environmental protection. Mimmack later actively campaigned against climate change and took part in demonstrations. In order to protect the environment, at the age of 19, she moved into a narrow boat anchored in Hackney Marshes .

Mimmack had her first success in her acting career in 2008 when she prevailed against 300 competitors and won the Best Teenage Actress Award at the Growing Talent Convention in Paris . In 2010 she had her first television appearance in the television series Doctors as Vanessa Finch . She then got the role of Gina in the television series Married Single Other . In the Being Human - spin-off Becoming Human , she played the werewolf Christa . She has also appeared in the Mayday miniseries and the Inside Men television series . In 2014 she got the lead role in The Sleeping Room .
