Paul Englishby
Paul Englishby (* 1970 in Preston ) is a British composer .
Life
Paul Englishby learned to play the piano in his youth and played in various bands and jazz ensembles while still at school. He successfully studied composition at Goldsmiths, University of London and the Royal Academy of Music . He then found work as a composer for theater and musical performances.
Englishby made his debut as a film composer for a feature film in 2006 with the comedy Confetti - Marrying Better Unusual , directed by Debbie Isitt . Since then he has been the main composer responsible for over 30 film and television productions. Several of his music has been nominated for various film and music awards. He was awarded an Emmy for his music for the television film The Conspiracy, directed by David Hare .
