Reviews

Various critics saw in the plot of The Guilty parallels to the previous and very successful series Broadchurch and other contemporary British series. Benjamin Secher from the Telegraph found after the first episode that the crime thriller was a series of Whodunit clichés.

Mike Hale wrote in the New York Times that the underlying puzzle is thin and inconsistent and that it leads to an unsatisfactory resolution. In contrast, called Antje Wessels on Quotenmeter.de The Guilty as an "emotionally demanding, sophisticated thriller event at the highest level". The performance of Tamsin Greig was positively highlighted in many cases.
