The former washing and bathing house at Schäfflerbachstrasse 30 in Augsburg is a monument of the Am Schäfflerbach district . In 1997 it was placed under monument protection.

The building was built in 1879 by the Augsburg architect Jean Keller and is a two-storey side eaves building with a gable roof and baroque plaster structure. The house contained 15 laundry rooms, mang rooms, drying floors and four bathing cabins. It served as a washing and bathing house for employees and their families from the workers' settlement of the Augsburg worsted spinning mill , the so-called "worsted quarter".

Worsted Selimiye Mosque

Since 1980 the building has been used as a mosque , the Worsted Selimiye Mosque . The Turkish-Islamic Community of Augsburg-Kammgarn eV has owned the building since 2009.
