Wasmuth Levin from Wintzingerode

Wasmuth Levin von Wintzingerode (born March 10, 1671 in Adelsborn ; † February 3, 1752 in Kirchohmfeld ) was a German nobleman who served as general and commander-in-chief of the troops in the Dutch service as well as canon in Osnabrück and lord on Ohmfeld and since 1725 lord Wintzingerode was.

Wasmuth Levin's family comes from Eichsfeld, now in Thuringia . He is the youngest son of Hans Ernst von Wintzingerode (1630–1690) and Dorothea von Meding. Wasmuth Levin was married three times. His eldest son from his second marriage, Wilhelm Levin Ernst (1738–1781) used the title of baron, which was not objected to in the Kingdom of Prussia and recognized abroad. His daughter Levine Rebekka comes from his marriage to Anna Francoise du Hot . In 1712 she married the later Dutch Lieutenant General Otto Friedrich von Schack (Lieutenant General) (* 1670 - † November 1, 1751).

On June 27, 1731 he married Sophie Maria von Hagen (1694–1741). The marriage came from Marie Eleonore, Dorothea von Wintzingerode (1733–1780). She married Achaz Philipp von Wintzingerode (1722–1758) on February 20, 1752 . These are the parents of Georg Ernst Levin von Wintzingerode .
