The Einsal hydropower plant is located on the Lenne in the Einsal district of Nachrodt-Wiblingwerde on the premises of Walzwerke Einsal GmbH , with parts of the Mühlgraben running under its premises. Water from the Lenne has been used by the rolling mills to generate energy for over 350 years. While an iron hammer with a mill wheel used to be operated in the past, a quarter of the electricity required for operation is generated in the hydropower plant itself.
In 1997 it was modernized. The electricity is generated with the help of two Francis turbines and two generators from Flender Loher .
