Zappendorf watermill
The Zappendorf watermill is a listed mill in the Zappendorf district of the Salzatal community in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments , the mill is listed as a historical building under registration number 094 55403 .
The half-timbered house at 48 Street of Friendship in Zappendorf is a former water mill . The high roof structure of the building, which was at least two-story due to the arrangement of the skylights, is striking . These projectiles probably served as storage space . The watermill is located on the Laweke brook , a tributary of the Salza, and dates from 1720. A watermill is documented for this area in 1234, but it was located directly on the Salza. The building is now used as a residential building.
