Hülsede moated castle

The moated castle Hülsede is a moated castle in the style of the Weser Renaissance in Hülsede in Lower Saxony between Süntel and Deister .
history
In 1310, the Count of Schaumburg enfeoffed the Rottorps with the court in Hülsede, which was the basis of the later manor. The four-winged castle was built between 1529 and 1548 by ( Clawes ) Claus von Rottorp and expanded until 1600.
In 1584 the von Rottorp family died out in the male line. The son-in-law Ernst von Reden was unable to prevail against the Count of Schaumburg. Thereupon the Count of Schaumburg and the Bishop of Minden Hermann von Mengersen (Drost in Rodenberg and Sachsenhagen, married to Ilse vd Born) enfeoffed the estate in Hülsede.
In 1908 the fiefdom became free property of the Mengersens. In 1970 Monika Bronsart von Schellendorff , b. von Mengersen , the property. From 1979 the castle was restored.
