history

The water tower was built in 1913 at a height of 143 m above sea level. The height of the tower to the bottom of the tank is 15 m. The well in the pump building (built in 1912/13) was 15 m deep. The required electric pump had 2  HP . The container in the tower had a volume of 60 m³. The building cost 13,000 marks at the time. It was made of ring oven bricks that were jointed in white. The construction work was carried out by M. Tappert from Düren . The water tank in the tower was made by the Neumann company from Eschweiler an der Inde .

By resolution of the municipal council of August 21, 1958, the Frauwüllesheim waterworks was handed over to the water supply association of the Neffeltal communities in Vettweiß , as the tasks required to connect Isweiler to the supply network could not be fulfilled. The takeover only became legally binding on December 31, 1960. On April 10, 1961, the pump house and the water tower were taken out of service.
