Waterfront (Engl. Waterfront Station ) is a Opened on 1 August 1914 and in neoclassical erbauter style train station in the center of the Canadian city of Vancouver . It's located at 601 West Cordova Street, on the south bank of Burrard Inlet and a few minutes' walk from historic Gastown .
The train station is a major transport hub and terminus for the following TransLink lines:
- Expoline the SkyTrain to Burnaby , New Westminster and Surrey
- SkyTrain's Millennium Line to Burnaby and New Westminster
- SkyTrain Canada Line to Richmond and Vancouver International Airport
- SeaBus ferry to Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver
- West Coast Express to Port Moody , Coquitlam , Pitt Meadows , Maple Ridge and Mission .
- Numerous urban and regional bus routes
On May 23, 1887, the first train of the Canadian Pacific Railway arrived in Vancouver. The first station was replaced from 1912 by a new building in neo-Gothic style. This served as the western terminus of the transcontinental railroad to Montreal and Toronto for six decades . From 1977 the railway systems were removed from the old station and rebuilt a little further east in the building that is used today. In 1979 VIA Rail moved the terminus of the national lines to Pacific Central station on False Creek .
