The Waterhouse Spur is a mountain ridge with clearly recognizable stratification in the west Antarctic Marie-Byrd-Land . In the La Gorce Mountains of Queen Maud Mountains , it extends 10 km northeast of Johansen Peak from the southern part of Ackerman Ridge in a south-westerly direction.
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964. Scientists in a campaign of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition from 1969 to 1970 named it after Barry C. Waterhouse, who participated in this Campaign here as a geologist .
