The Watson Glacier is a glacier in the Australian Antarctic Territory . It lies at the eastern end of the Turnstile Ridge in the narrow northwestern part of the Britannia Range and flows northeast towards the upper section of the Hatherton Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2009 after Elizabeth J. Watson, who was active in support of the work in the United States Antarctic Program between 1998 and 2009 in numerous Antarctic summer campaigns at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station , there the Antarctic winter 1999 and those of the year 2000 at the Palmer station .
