Wawel is the name of a Polish confectionery manufacturer that produces chocolates , caramels and filled candies , among other things .
history
The Wawel company was founded in 1951 after the Second World War as a state-owned company through the forced merger of the Polish confectionery factory of Adam Piasecki and the Polish branches of Pischinger and Suchard . In Poland, Wawel became the market leader for confectionery. In 1992 the company was privatized and since March 1998 the company's shares have been traded on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. 52.13% of the shares belong to Hosta International AG, based in Switzerland, which is associated with the German confectionery manufacturer Hosta .
Products
The Wawel company makes a wide range of products, including a variety of chocolate bars, chocolate bars and chocolate bonbons.
