The We-Wah Lake (also Wee Wah Lake ) is a small artificial lake in Orange County , the State of New York . The lake, 150 m above sea level, is 23.3 hectares in size, up to about 5.3 m deep and has a catchment area of 16.7 km². We-Wah Lake is fed by the higher lying lakes Tuxedo Lake and Pond No. 3 (Little Wee Wah Lake) and Warwick Brook . It drains into the nearby Ramapo River , a source of the Pompton River .
Located entirely in the area of the Village Tuxedo Park , We-Wah Lake is primarily intended for recreation. When the lake was emptied in the middle of the 20th century, the remains of the "Continental Road" built during the American War of Independence were discovered .
