WeGame is an Internet distribution platform for computer games and software from the Chinese technology group Tencent , which focuses on the domestic market. The platform was announced in April 2017 and went online on September 1, 2017. It continues the development of the previous project Tencent Games Platform (TGP) and expands it to include multimedia content and communication between the players, with the focus of the offers on content for the PC . The system also enables online distribution , maintenance ( patching ) and monitoring ( DRM ) of the games. As of February 2020, the system had 70 million monthly active users.

Since April 2019, an expansion of sales on a global scale has been implemented under the name WeGame X , which puts the platform in direct competition with providers such as Steam .
