Samsung Galaxy Store (formerly Galaxy Apps, previously Samsung Apps) is an app store and the software of the same name from Samsung , which is supplied as standard on Samsung smartphones . The Galaxy Store Germany offers over 10,000 apps (as of July 29, 2011) for Galaxy smartphones. More than 13,000 apps are available worldwide. In addition, watch faces for Samsung smartwatches can be obtained.
According to Yvonne Birkel from Samsung's PR team, 11,750 apps are available for the bada operating system. The largest part (7,185 apps) is chargeable, 4565 apps are free. Expressed as a percentage, 61% are chargeable, 39% free.
Galaxy apps for smartphones are not to be confused with Samsung apps for smart TV devices , a similar service for internet-enabled TVs.
history
The store launched in September 2009 in the UK , France , Italy and Germany . The store is now available in over 100 other countries. The range of apps is different around the world and varies from country to country.
In 2019 the name was changed to Galaxy Store. The App Store also got a new OneUI style design.

On September 22, 2010, Samsung announced that after a year of existence, the 10 million downloads mark in Europe had been exceeded. On March 24, 2011, Samsung Apps had 100 million downloads.
