Catholic Chapel of St. Anna in Ausserbraz

The Roman Catholic path chapel Ausserbraz is on the valley side on Klostertalerstraße at the beginning of the Klostertal in the village of Ausserbraz in the municipality of Bludenz in Vorarlberg . The chapel of St. Anna of the parish church of Braz belongs to the deanery Bludenz-Sonnenberg in the diocese of Feldkirch . The wayside chapel is a listed building .

history

The chapel was consecrated in 1640.

architecture

The rectangular building, oriented to the north, has a three-eighth end and a gable roof with a ridge turret. The prayer room has a barrel vault, the choir has a flat ceiling.

Furnishing

The altar around 1680 has two twisted columns, a blasted gable and side tendrils and ornaments. The altarpiece Anna with Maria was painted by the painter Anton Jehly (1885) as a copy after the painter Father Rudolf Blättler OSB. The image of God the Father is from the 17th century. On the choir arch are the figures of Mary and Joseph from the end of the 17th century. The crucifix on the right nave wall is from the middle of the 17th century.
