Founded in 1645, monastery built in 1649/50 by master masons Christoph Schueler and Adrian Keller, in 1752 construction of the hospital ward, now winter choir, 1756 extension to the east (provincial wing), 1927 extension to the north, 1941–45 annulment, rectangular area around the cloister courtyard, north monastery church, west of the Lourdes Chapel, monastery church Zu Maria Heimsuchung built in 1648/49 by Christoph Schueler and master carpenter Andreas Neyer, restored and consecrated in 1651 after a fire, simple building with nave, retracted just closing choir under a shared saddle roof, tower with pointed helmet over the center of the choir.

On July 10, 1991 the Capuchins left the monastery for personal reasons. The Franciscans from the Province of Poznan have agreed to take over the monastery and continue it in the spirit of the Capuchins. The 21 owner parishes renovated the monastery between 1992 and 1996.
