The Wegkapelle is located near the state road in the direction of Klosterbeuren in the Engishausen district of Egg an der Günz , in the Unterallgäu district , Bavaria . The square chapel building , built around 1730/1740, is a listed building. A round arch arcade forms the opening of the chapel to the east. The opening is flanked by narrow pilasters with a profiled cornice . There are similar pilasters on the side walls near the corners, with the western corners being rounded. The chapel is covered over a profiled eaves cornice with a square tail roof made of sheet metal.

Inside, under a barrel vault , an almost life-size wooden figure of St. John of Nepomuk is placed. The figure comes from the same period as the chapel. The figure stands on a bulged and marbled wooden base that resembles an altar table. There used to be two putti in the chapel, but they were stolen. The entrance is protected by a wrought iron grille, which also dates from around 1730/1740.
