Fortified church

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wehrgangkirche refers to a group of fortified churches in the Ore Mountains in the specialist literature since 1957 (preserved churches in Dörnthal , Großrückerswalde , Lauterbach and Mittelaida ) which have a wooden block floor on the stone outer walls.

Castle research rejects this term as misleading because it is a complete storey and not battlements .
