history

Maschinenfabrik Weidemann KG was founded in Diemelsee-Flechtdorf (Hesse) in 1960. Initially, between 1960 and 1972, the company concentrated on the manufacture of stable equipment and manure removal. In 1972 Weidemann invented the Hoftrac or farm loader . This small articulated machine was specially designed for narrow and low stalls.

In 1979 the company was renamed Weidemann GmbH und Co. KG. Weidemann expanded further in the following years. At the beginning of the 1990s, the first foreign company was founded in the Netherlands and operations began in Plant III in Gotha ( Thuringia ). There is no longer any production there.

In 2005, what was then Wacker Construction Equipment AG (now Wacker Neuson SE) took over Weidemann, which involved a further expansion of production capacities. In 2007 the production plant in Korbach was completed. Since then, Weidemann GmbH has been a 100% subsidiary of Wacker Neuson SE.

Weidemann machines are sold worldwide in over 30 countries through our own organizations in close cooperation with specialist dealers. Weidemann has produced more than 100,000 machines since 1960 (as of 2017).
