history

The winery founded by Albert Pöckl in 1910 was managed by Josef Pöckl (born October 13, 1951, † January 19, 2011) from 1979, together with his son René since 2001. Since Josef Pöckl passed away in 2011, René Pöckl has been the sole operations manager.

The winery

The vineyard area is 33 hectares (as of 2012), 99 percent of which are planted with red grape varieties - Zweigelt , Blaufränkisch , Sankt Laurent , Cabernet Sauvignon , Merlot and Pinot Noir . The best known wines are the Cuvées Admiral , Rosso e Nero and Reve de Jeunesse .
