The Bachem Wine Museum at Königstraße 23 in Bachem , a district of the town of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler in Rhineland-Palatinate , is a small wine museum in a historic building that has been set up since 1978 .

building

The building, erected as a bakery in 1650, was used as a school from 1713 to 1848. During the Napoleonic Wars of Liberation in 1814 it served as a Cossack guard , that is, as a guardroom. The ground floor is made of local quarry stone and the first floor is partly made of timber . Even today, bread is baked in the old oven at events.

exhibition

The exhibits of the museum include tools that were used in the vineyard: Rebmesseer or Hippe u. a. Likewise a cart and an old wine press . Former Federal Chancellor Willy Brandt was one of the most prominent guests at the winegrowers' museum and signed the guest book on August 30, 1986.

The museum is only open from May to October.
