The Rajabhat University Kanchanaburi ( Thai มหาวิทยาลัย ราชภัฏ กาญจนบุรี , Kanchanaburi Rajabhat University, KRU) is a public university in Rajabhat system of Thailand . The university campus is near Kanchanaburi , in the west of Bangkok .
history
Rajabhat Kanchanaburi University was established in 1973 as a teaching college. In the 1990s, more training programs were added, and the name of the facility changed to Rajabhat Institute Kanchanaburi. According to a royal decree, the institute was later elevated to a university.
location
Rajabhat Kanchanaburi University is close to the world famous bridge over the River Kwai .
Academic structure
Rajabhat Kanchanaburi University has five faculties:
- Faculty of Education , also the oldest faculty at the university
- Faculty of Science and Technology
- Faculty of Social Science and Humanities
- Faculty of Management Technology
- Faculty of production engineering, at the same time the youngest faculty of the university and intended as a training place for applied sciences
