The Rajabhat University Phetchabun ( Thai มหาวิทยาลัย ราชภัฏ เพชรบูรณ์ , in English Phetchabun Rajabhat University , short PCRU ) is a public university in the Rajabhat system of Thailand .
location
The university campus is located in the district ( Amphoe ) Mueang Phetchabun about three kilometers from the city center, on the expressway towards Amphoe Mueang Saraburi - Amphoe Lom Sak . Phetchabun is located in the northern region of Thailand.
history
The establishment of the Phetchabun Rajabhat University goes back to 1973, it was founded on September 29, 1973 as a Phetchabun Teachers College / Pedagogical School. In 1976 the university offered its first two diploma degrees, the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science followed in 1985. On February 14, 1992, it received the status of an institute with the name Rajabhat Institute Phetchabun . University status was conferred in 2005 with the name Phetchabun Rajabhat University .
General
The campus of the university has an area of 584 rai, which corresponds to 934,400 m². The university offers both bachelor and post-graduate courses. The president of the university is Rang San Phengphat ( Thai ผ ศ. ดร. รังสรรค์ เพ็ง พัด ). The chairmanship of the university council is currently vacant, the last chairman was Sutham Arikun ( Thai ศาสตราจารย์ ดร. สุ ธรรม อารี กุล ).
Symbols
The university color is purple, the university tree is the queen flower ( Lagerstroemia speciosa l. ). The university's emblem consists of the colors blue, green, gold, orange and white, with each color having its own meaning:
- The blue stands for the kingship and establishes the reference that the name Rajabhat Universities comes from the king.
- The green stands for the 40 locations of the Rajabhat universities and the exquisite natural environment.
- The gold means intellectual wealth .
- The orange stands for the local arts and cultural adornment of all Rajabhat University locations.
