Sripatum University

The Sripatum University ( Thai มหาวิทยาลัย ศรีปทุม , short SPU) is a private university in the north of the Thai capital Bangkok .

General

Sripatum University was founded as Thai Suriya College on May 28, 1970 by Dr. Suk Pukayaporn founded. In 1987 the college was elevated to university status. The main location is in the Phaya Thai district in Bangkok. Another location is in Chonburi Province (SPUC).

The university is headed by Ms. Chinda Tejavanija Chang

Surname

Sripatum means "source of knowledge like a lotus flower" and was chosen at a meeting by the late princess mother Galyani Vadhana .
