Nation University
The Nation University ( Thai มหาวิทยาลัย เน ชั่ น , former Yonok University) is a private university in the province of Lampang in northern Thailand .

history
The idea of a university in Lampang came up as early as 1980, which was positively received by the Thai government. The plans were advanced with help from US Baylor University , USAID, and others. Nation University (formerly Yonok University) was finally founded in 1988 as Yonok College by Nirund Jivasantikarn , who was also the institution's long-time president. In 2006 the college was upgraded to a university. In 2011 the Nation Multimedia Group founded, whose core product is the daily newspaper The Nationis its own educational institution and joined u. a. together with the South East Asia University and Yonok University, resulting in the Nation University with 2 campuses.
