Thaksin University

The Thaksin University ( Thai มหาวิทยาลัย ทักษิณ , English: Thaksin University, short: TSU, translated "University of the South") is a public university in Songkhla , southern Thailand .

Thaksin University began its work as a teacher training facility in 1968 before becoming a regional campus of Srinakharinwirot University in 1974 . On November 1, 1996, the university was finally granted its independence as the 23rd state university and became an independent public institution. In 2008, Thaksin University had 11,200 students.
