Amphoe Mueang Phetchabun ( Thai : อำเภอ เมือง เพชรบูรณ์ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in Phetchabun Province . Phetchabun Province is located in the southeast of the northern region of Thailand .
The capital of Phetchabun Province is also called Phetchabun .
geography
Phetchabun County is about 350 kilometers northeast of Bangkok . The city lies in the midst of a charming landscape that is used intensively for agriculture. In the area there is a beautiful mountain landscape covered with rainforest.
Neighboring districts (clockwise from the south): the Amphoe (district) Nong Phai , Chon Daen and Wang Pong of Phetchabun Province, Amphoe Noen Maprang of Phitsanulok Province , Amphoe Khao Kho and Lom Sak in turn in Phetchabun Province and finally Amphoe Khon San and Nong Bua Daeng of Chaiyaphum Province .
The National Park Mok fact lies partly in Mueang Phetchabun.
