Welker Award
The Welker Award has been awarded since 1976 by the International Symposium on Compound Semiconductors in the field of III-V compound semiconductors . It is named after Heinrich Welker . In 1982 Siemens AG donated the Heinrich Welker Gold Medal, which was combined with the Compound Semiconductor Symposium Prize and which was subsequently awarded to its previous winners (since 1976).
