Yasuhiko Arakawa

Yasuhiko Arakawa ( Japanese 荒 川 泰 彦 , Arakawa Yasuhiko ; born November 6, 1952 in Aichi Prefecture ) is a Japanese physicist .

Arakawa received his Bachelor of Science (1975), Master of Science (1977) and Ph.D. (1980) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tokyo . From 1980 he was an assistant professor at the University of Tokyo and since 1993 he has been a professor, currently at the Research Center for Advanced Science and technology . He is also Director of the Nanoelectronics Research Center at the Institute of Industrial Science at the University of Tokyo and Research Professor at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone .

The research focuses on growth and physics of semiconductors - nanostructures , in particular for optoelectronic devices such. B. Laser.
