Wellington Brito da Silva , nicknamed Tom (born June 23, 1985 in São Paulo ) is a Bulgarian - Brazilian football player . Tom is a native of Brazil, and during his time at Litex Lovech he also took on Bulgarian citizenship.

Career

Tom started professional football at Associação Portuguesa Londrinense . During the winter break of his first season at Portuguesa, he moved to the Bulgarian first division club Litex Lovetsch . Here he became a regular player straight away and played for the club for six years. During the winter break of the 2011/12 season, he moved to Turkey for the Süper Lig club Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor . Istanbul BB had already signed the Brazilian-born Doka Madureira at the start of the season from Litex Lovetsch .

In February 2014 it was only announced that Tom would leave the Istanbul contract termination by mutual agreement and loan it to his former club Litex Lovech. The loan and contract termination did not materialize in the end, so that Tom stayed with the club in the 2014/15 season, which was renamed Istanbul Başakşehir in the summer of 2014 .

For the 2015/16 season he moved to the Turkish second division side Elazığspor . After three years he moved to Hatayspor within the TFF 1st Lig . He only stayed there for one more season and was then without a club in the summer of 2019. Only at the end of January 2020 did he find a new club in the Bulgarian first division club Botew Wraza .
